About Alpiora

Alpiora, tagline *Swiss Photography Experiences*, is a booking platform for professional photoshoots in Switzerland. It connects people who want to be photographed, whether travelling or living in the country, with independent photographers who work locally.

Alpiora does not sell fixed packages from a shop. Each request is checked individually against the photographers who suit the date, the place and the type of session, and the client receives a proposal to accept or decline.

Alpiora operates across Switzerland, in the cities, around the lakes and in the Alpine resorts. The main bases are Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, Interlaken, Bern, Basel, Lausanne, Lugano, Montreux, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Davos.

From these bases, sessions reach the surrounding destinations: the valleys and villages of the Bernese Oberland, the lakeshores of Lake Lucerne and Lake Geneva, the Lavaux vineyards, mountain viewpoints such as Rigi and Pilatus, and resorts in Valais and Graubünden. The full list is on the locations page.

Booking through Alpiora follows four steps:

1. The client sends a free, no-obligation availability request with the date, the place and the type of shoot.
2. Alpiora checks which suitable photographers are free and replies personally.
3. The client receives a proposal naming the photographer, the package and the price.
4. The booking is confirmed when the client accepts the proposal. Payment terms, cancellation terms and the delivery time are stated in the proposal.

Nothing is reserved or charged before the proposal is accepted.

The photographers are independent professionals, not employees of Alpiora. Each one is reviewed before joining, on five criteria:

• their portfolio;
• their experience with the type of session;
• the languages they speak;
• their knowledge of the places they work in;
• their reliability.

Each photographer has a profile on the photographers page showing their work and languages.

Every price on Alpiora is a starting price. Sessions start from CHF 250 for an express shoot of about 30 minutes and from CHF 390 for a classic one-hour session. Any shoot in an Alpine location, such as Zermatt, Grindelwald or St. Moritz, starts from CHF 650.

The final price depends on the photographer, the place, the date, the time of day, the duration and add-ons such as video, drone footage, an extra hour, a weekend date, a sunrise or sunset slot, or travel. Each photographer sets their own package and price at or above the platform's starting prices, and the proposal states the exact figure before the client commits. All starting prices are listed on the pricing page.

The Alpiora website is available in English, German, French and Italian, and requests can be sent in any of these languages. The languages each photographer speaks vary and are shown on their profile. A client who needs a particular language can say so in the request.

The simplest way to reach Alpiora is the availability request form. It is free and without obligation, and it can also be used for questions before booking. Alpiora replies personally.
