Quick answers
- How much does it cost?
- Content Creation Photoshoot starts from CHF 550. The final price depends on the place, duration, date, time of day, travel and any add-ons such as video, and is stated in your proposal before you book.
- How long does it take?
- A typical session lasts 1 h 30 min and you receive around 60 edited photos.
- What is included?
- A briefing by message or call to agree the shot list, formats and route
- 90 minutes of shooting in the starting package; longer sessions on request
- Around 60 edited high-resolution images in the starting package
- Vertical and horizontal frames planned for every set-up
- Where does it take place?
- Popular places include Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, Interlaken, and Lugano. Your photographer suggests the best spot for your date, the light and the crowds.
- Who is it for?
- Travel creators who want a week of posts from one morning in Switzerland
- Small brands in fashion, jewellery, watches or outdoor gear that need lifestyle images in a Swiss setting
- Hotels, restaurants and tour operators refreshing their own channels
- Couples who run a shared travel account and are tired of tripod shots
- How does booking work?
- Send a free request with your place, date and plans. Alpiora checks which photographers are available and replies with a proposal stating the photographer, the package and the exact price. Nothing is booked until you accept.
A content shoot is not a holiday portrait session. You arrive with a shot list, the formats you post in and an idea of how the images will be used; the photographer arrives knowing where the light falls at each stop and which places fill with tour groups by mid-morning. The result is a set of frames you can post over weeks, not a handful of favourites.
Alpiora matches you with a photographer who has shot creator and brand work before, not only couples. They plan each set-up in both vertical (9:16 and 4:5) and horizontal crops, leave clean space for text overlays when you ask for it, and build outfit changes into the route so you do not lose light walking back to the hotel.
Before anything is booked, the proposal states what you may do with the images. Posting on your own channels is one thing; paid advertising, a hotel campaign or a brand deal is another, and it is simpler to agree that in writing than to discover it after the shoot.
How it works
- 1
Send your brief
Use the availability request to tell us the date, the city or resort, what you post and roughly how many set-ups you need. It is free and there is no obligation.
- 2
We match a photographer
We check which photographers with creator or brand experience are free on your date, and reply personally with the fit: their portfolio, languages and how they would plan the route.
- 3
Receive a proposal
The proposal names the photographer, the package, the licence and the price. If you want video or a drone, it says who shoots it and what it costs.
- 4
Confirm and shoot
The booking is confirmed when you accept; payment terms are in the proposal. The photographer finalises the shot list with you and checks any permits the plan needs.
Where the session happens
City shoots give you variety within walking distance. Zurich has Old Town lanes, the lake promenade and the industrial streets of Zurich-West for urban brands; Lucerne puts wooden bridges, painted facades and the lake within ten minutes of each other; Geneva and Lugano add lakefronts with a French and an Italian feel. For mountain content, Zermatt, Lauterbrunnen and St. Moritz are reliable, with the Alpine starting price. If your plan links several places by train or boat, a Swiss photo tour is the better format; if you need portraits for a website, look at personal branding photography.
Preparation tips
- Send your account handle and a few reference images so the photographer can see your grid, colour grading and framing habits.
- Solid colours read better on a phone screen than fine patterns, which can shimmer in video; keep logos you are not paid to show out of frame.
- Book an early weekday slot for well-known spots; the same bridge or viewpoint can be empty at 8:00 and crowded by 10:30.
- Decide before the shoot whether any image will run as a paid advert, because it changes the licence and sometimes the price.
- At 2,000 m and above it is often much colder than in the valley, even in summer; carry a warm layer between set-ups.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a content creation photoshoot cost in Switzerland?
Through Alpiora it starts from CHF 550 for 90 minutes in a city, and from CHF 650 in Alpine resorts such as Zermatt or Interlaken. The price rises with longer sessions, extra locations, video, weekends, sunrise or sunset timing and travel. Your proposal states the full price before you commit. See pricing for the other packages.
Can the photographer also film Reels or TikTok clips?
Many photographers can, either as a hybrid shooter or with a second person for video. Mention it in your request so we match someone who does both. Switching between photo and video takes time, so a combined session covers fewer set-ups than a photo-only one of the same length.
Who owns the rights to the images?
The photographer is the author of the images, and your proposal sets out the licence: what you may use them for, where and for how long. Use on your own channels is the common case; paid advertising, print campaigns or passing images to a brand client may need an extended licence. Agree it in writing before the shoot.
Do we need a permit to shoot in a Swiss city?
Often not, but it depends on the size of the shoot. In the city of Zurich, a shoot on public ground needs a police permit, applied for at least four weeks ahead, if it lasts more than an hour including set-up, uses lights, rails or props, or involves more than five people. Other cities, mountain railways and hotels have their own rules, and your photographer checks them while planning.
Can you include drone footage?
Only where it is legal and safe. Drones in Switzerland follow the FOCA rules: a registered operator, a 120 m height limit, visual line of sight and no flying over crowds, plus restricted zones around airports and heliports, federal game reserves, bird reserves and some resorts; Zermatt, for example, does not allow drones over the village. Your photographer checks the official drone map and obtains any permission before offering drone shots.
How many locations fit into a 90-minute session?
Usually two or three set-ups within walking distance, with an outfit change between them. Places linked by train, boat or cable car need more time, which is what the half-day photo tour is designed for.
